Because every child deserves a new book and the gift of literacy, Underground Books has created the Mother Rose Angel Tree in honor of the late Underground Books Founder, Georgia (aka Mother Rose) West.  The Angel Tree provides free culturally relevant books for students in grades K-8 for children in Oak Park.

In addition to providing over 300 books to low-income students, The Angel Tree also greatly supports Underground Books, a local black-owned business in Oak Park. 

You can support the The Angel Tree by selecting from a list of current books and making a purchase that will be given to children during literacy events throughout the year!
