Matt Johnson to Coach Boys Varsity Basketball Team

Sac High is excited to announce Matt Johnson as the new Varsity Boy’s Basketball coach. As an alumni of Sac High, Johnson was a three-year varsity letterman in basketball and was nominated as a Dragon team MVP, Capital Athletic League MVP and was named 1 st team All-City.
“We are thrilled to have Coach Johnson back in the Dragon family as his basketball experience coupled with his passion for seeing Sac High succeed will be a tremendous asset for our team,” said Justin Reber, Sac High Athletic Director. “We know he will take our Dragon basketball program to new heights and we’re thrilled to have him back in the Sac High family.”
After high school, Johnson played at Sierra Junior College and Northern Arizona University on a full ride scholarship. He also played professionally in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. “I am excited to be here as this is a great opportunity for me to give back to the program, school, and the Oak Park community,” said Matt Johnson. “Sac High has a rich tradition and a winning culture, but more importantly a history of preparing students for college and the real world. I look forward to continuing this tradition the Dragon way.”
