Sac High Alumni Spotlight:  E’Myiah Morris, Class of 2024

Pipeline Newsletter

E’Myiah Morris says St. HOPE Public Schools feels like family as she started at PS7 Elementary in third grade and graduated from Sac High in 2024. She credits the schools’ college going culture for putting her on the path to higher education and is excited that she is now attending Northern Arizona University.

E’Myiah says the teachers start talking about the importance of college when scholars  are in  elementary school and by the time they graduate from Sac High everyone is eligible to apply to a CSU or UC campus. She appreciates that the academic counselors would proactively reach out to her to see if she needed help or had questions. She knew the Deans and teachers wanted to see scholars succeed and she always felt comfortable asking for something to be explained a different way if she didn’t understand it the first time.

E’Myiah participated in the Panther Pipeline, Sac High’s dual enrollment program, and was excited that she was able to earn college credits while still in high school. She is starting Northern Arizona University with 16 credits and is excited that the school is expanding the program to Freshman and Sophomores as it is a really valuable experience.

E’Myiah played basketball during her four years at Sac High and was varsity captain during her senior year. She appreciates all of the opportunities offered to her during her time at St. HOPE Public Schools and always felt supported whether it was in class or on the basketball court.

She has seen generations of families graduate from Sac High and is excited that her brother is a Sac High Dragon too. When asked what she liked most about St. HOPE Public Schools, E’Myiah said “it’s the schools’ focus on setting up everyone for success. When we graduate we are prepared for our next chapter and feel confident in our ability to spread our wings.”
