Every spring St. HOPE Public Schools hosts an annual public lottery for grades TK-12. This year’s lottery was quite the success with nearly 100 families in attendance. The St. HOPE team welcomed approximately 500 new scholars to PS7, Oak Park Preparatory Academy, and Sacramento Charter High School.

New St. HOPE families enjoyed a fun filled evening with music, food and giveaways. The highlight of the night was seeing the joy and gratitude on the faces of students and parents who were offered a spot at one of our schools. One particular Sac High parent was in tears when her daughter was accepted to Sac High. She stated her daughter would be the first in their family to go to college and she knew as long as she attended to Sac High she would get there.

The evening ended with wait lists for several grades as unfortunately everyone did not receive a spot. The admissions team continues to ensure scholars and their families are given a warm welcome for the upcoming school year.
