Our Juneteenth Block Party @ 40 Acres event on Saturday, June 17 from 4pm-9pm will celebrate African American culture through art, music, dance, food, and other festivities. Come join the greater Sacramento community for this FREE event that offers activities for adults and kids of all ages. The event will be hosted by Comedian Dru Burks and DJ Supe and residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the full lineup of music, art and entertainment taking place on the main stage. 

This year features an even bigger wine and beer garden featuring Black owned wineries and breweries including Baker Family Wines, McBride Sisters, Fieldnumber 15 Wines, Speakeasy Ales and Lagers, Hella Coastal Brewing, Full Circle, and Oak Park Brewing Co.

Headline entertainment by Club Nouveau, an 80s & 90s R&B and pop group originally from Sacramento.  Featured groups also includes entertainment from funk band Giggles N’ Licks and sax by Sean Raiford. 

Kids fun zone at Esther’s Park sponsored by St. HOPE Public Schools. Kids can enjoy games, jump houses, art projects, and face painting. This year we are excited to have Loyalty Riderz, a group of Black cowboys and cowgirls, join us to inspire kids and teach them about the importance of Black equestrians. 

Health clinic pop-ups and booths where residents can learn more about important community resources.
