5th Annual Sacramento Black Book Fair
The 5th Annual Black Book Fair took place Friday, June 1st and Saturday, June 2nd. The Black Book Fair is held once a year to bring African American literature and authors to the community. This year’s featured authors came from Sacramento as well as different cities in California. There were also several national other authors who showed up from all across the country, including Florida! It’s no surprise to say this year’s fair was a success. Many people brought their families out for the day to enjoy the authors, music and vendors There were different stations set up all around Oak Park, including at Underground Books, and The BrickHouse Art Gallery. Children were able to get their faces painted and participate in fun activities as well.. If you missed this wonderful event, you can stop by Underground Books to check out the fantastic books by featured authors. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Black Book Fair and had a good time. Don’t miss it next year!
