Announced at the St. HOPE Dinner, this year’s Educator of the Year award goes to Mikki Berthiaume of PS7 Middle School! Mikki, or Ms. B as her kids call her, truly goes above and beyond for our scholars and embodies St. HOPE’s five pillars. 

Mikki sets the bar high for every scholar and holds herself to high standards. She not only teaches her students to be leaders, but also spends time developing her peers. After class, you can find Mikki spending additional time with scholars as she volunteers to take students to the Kings games, host Saturday tutoring sessions, and coach basketball.

Under Mikki’s guidance, her students have achieved the very highest level of results in math outperforming all other classes at St. HOPE, and her 8^th grade students have achieved the highest scores in the entire Sac City Unified School District! It was such an honor to present her with this award.
