As we head into the holiday season, I want to express my gratitude for your support and partnership as we collectively work to uplift Oak Park and the greater Sacramento community. An important part of building the next generation of leaders who will do good for our community is teaching them about and connecting them with everyday heroes. When our scholars see the difference that others are making in the world, they will be inspired to be part of that change.

In December, our PS7 Middle School scholars will be hearing from Marines and firefighters about the vital services they provide our community and the heroic efforts they undertake each day as part of their jobs. These hands-on lessons supplement the school’s humanities curriculum and provide opportunities for our scholars to connect what they are learning at school to the real world.

Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope to see you in Oak Park soon as we have some really exciting events coming up!
