St. HOPE Charters Unanimously Approved
President's Message - 9.23.24

Post

The line “it takes a village” has never been more true as our community rallied behind PS7 and Sacramento Charter High School to express their support for the schools. I’m thrilled to report that the Sacramento City Unified School Board voted unanimously on September 19 to renew the charters for both schools for another 5-year term (until June 30, 2030). I am incredibly grateful for all the support that the schools received and that they can continue focusing on educating scholars and sending them to and through college.

While I am stepping down from the Board of St. HOPE Public Schools, I will remain as the President and CEO of St. HOPE. I am deeply invested in PS7 and Sac High schools’ success and am excited to continue my volunteer efforts with the schools and throughout the community. I am not going anywhere. I am also excited to continue supporting the diverse and engaging programming at PS7 and Sac High through our work at St. HOPE Academy to help increase access and exposure for all of our scholars. I am committed and laser focused on furthering the mission of St HOPE to lift up underserved communities through education, arts and culture and community economic development.  It takes all of us to be the change we want to see.  It takes a village!!

In community,

Cassandra H.B. Jennings

President and CEO
